After a very hot summer, we finally got around to picking our red Cabernet Cortis grapes on the 11th October! A very successful and sunny day, with a big help from our 26 pickers that came to help us, and ended up being picked in less than two hours!
The grapes were delivered to our winemakers at Halfpenny Green in Wolverhampton the following day for vinification and then blending with some of our previously harvested Solaris to make our Rose. Its 2025 predecessor recently won a Silver Medal at the WineGB Midlands and North annual wine challenge, so after the beautiful weather we’ve been given this year we’re confident our 2026 vintage will be of similar if not even better quality!
We are very grateful to the picking teams, all family, friends and frequent visitors to the vineyard. It’s been another amazing year here at the vineyard and we couldn’t have done it without you!
